Why do I only read mysteries these days?

It seems that I am drawn almost immediately to the NY Times section on crime in their Sunday Book Review. For years I have savored the best in crime novels. I favor the Brits and Scots and some USA writers like Dennis Lehane and the sadly departed Tony Hillerman.

I think one of the reasons is the careful structure of the genre. I’m a Virgo, and love structure! I also love the kicker at the end – the surprise, the capture, the get away.

And now that I have a Kindle I am close to going completely overboard!
